CMC TEXORA TX/L WIRE SLING

The TX/L Wire Sling can handle a two-person load. We created its internal core with 12 loops of galvanized steel wire. This generates a 50 kN MBS in an end-to-end configuration and also makes the load-bearing elements resistant to heat, abrasion, cuts, and impacts. A polyester sleeve surrounds the wire loops, which protects them from damage and makes them easy to handle. The sleeve also prevents them from damaging finished surfaces.

You can check the internal wire through a built-in inspection window. By simply rotating the wire cores out of the window and back into the sleeve, you can perform a full evaluation for each strand in the wire loop.

The Wire Sling’s hybrid construction offers more resistance to mechanical damage than a textile sling, yet it remains flexible for numerous applications. It is firm and flexible, so it maintains its shape when you wrap it around structures and get it into hard-to-reach places.

The sling’s high strength opens options for using a choker configuration. In addition, its 2mm wire diameter allows you to wrap the TX/L Wire Sling around low-diameter structures without kinking or bending. Furthermore, these slings are lightweight and low volume with no heavy hardware, so they pack down nicely for transport.

NOTE: You must always follow best practices for inspecting equipment, placing slings around low-diameter structures, and using edge protection. The polyester sheath is not a replacement for edge protection. It encapsulates the strength-bearing wire core and is designed for limited protection against the elements. If you neglect proper edge protection, you can damage the sheath to the point of needing to retire the sling.

Therefore, always evaluate the anchor and environment, utilizing appropriate edge protection for the application. Take care of the Wire, and the Wire will take care of you. Refer to the product manual for more information.
