[1] A centrifugally controlled brake keeps descent speed constant. This system permits a quick and safe rescue. The brake shaft uses ball bearings mounted on both sides.

[2] Milled aircraft-grade aluminum constructs the housing. This process makes the MILAN 2.0 the most robust equipment globally. Consequently, the device allows complex rescue techniques. For example, it supports rescue operations in lattice mast structures.

A seal reveals whether the MILAN 2.0 has been opened without authorization. The MILAN 2.0 is certified under international standards and special regulations to be used on vessels and offshore structures, e.g., by Germanischer Lloyd.
