Petzl ABSORBICA-I VARIO Adjustable single lanyard

Description

The Petzl ABSORBICA-I VARIO features the VARIO adjustment system. You can adjust the lanyard’s length to reduce potential fall height.

• Designed for progression on a horizontal lifeline (rope or cable) or on an elevated platform, without passing intermediate anchors
• VARIO adjustment system allows the lanyard length adjustment from 70 to 167 cm (without connector)
  – Reduces potential fall height
• Absorbs energy in the event of a fall:
  – Progressive tearing of the energy absorber webbing limits the impact force on the user
  – Works with users who weigh between 60 and 140 kg (132 and 308 lbs) (1)
• Petzl ABSORBICA-I VARIO’s design is for use with a maximum length (including connectors) of:
  – 200 cm (78 in) under the CE EN 355 standard
  – 183 cm (6 feet) under the ANSI Z359.13
• Minimal bulk: compact energy absorber facilitates handling
• Durable fabric pouch with a simple opening system
  – Protects the energy absorber from abrasion or contaminants while allowing for regular inspection of the absorberTwo options for installation on the harness, depending on use:
  – Frequent connection/disconnection: with a carabiner held in correct position by the STRING positioning accessory (included with the lanyard)
  – Semi-permanent connection: with a RING OPEN gated ring, whose circular shape allows optimal positioning
• Two connector options for the end of the lanyard: a locking carabiner or MGO OPEN connector with large gate opening (1) Under the CSA Z259.11-17 standard, the user must weigh between 75 and 140 kg (165 and 308 lbs).
