We began manufacturing static kernmantle caving rope in 1969, and in 1975 introduced the first static ropes designed exclusively for fire and industrial high-rise rescue use. As the company grew we began manufacturing dynamic ropes for climbing. 1983 saw the premier of our complete line of climbing ropes. These ropes were the first American-made, UIAA (Union Internationale Des Association D'Apinisme) certified climbing ropes sold in the U.S.A. In response to this growth BlueWater has expanded its product line.
